Hi, I’m Connie.

I love life, habits, purpose, possibility…and snacks.

I’m also a certified habits and life coach.

About Me

I have always been obsessed with life. As a young child I wanted to watch TV shows with real people in them, not animated ones.

I find myself in constant creation of my days. Each day representing how I want to live my life. Filled with what I care about the most and evidence of who I want to be.

But my days weren’t always filled with meaning. They were filled with anxious thoughts. Everything felt overwhelming. And my mind kept me where I was comfortable.

Things got more challenging after I found my ‘career’, got married, and had kids. As my children grew older and needed me less my days lacked joy and purpose. I didn’t know who I was anymore or what I wanted.

At my lowest point, I started having panic attacks. It was one of the hardest times in my life. That was when I knew I couldn’t stay the same anymore. I knew I needed to make some changes. I never wanted to feel that way again.

I started seeing a therapist and joined an amazing community that inspired me to dream big and focus on self-discovery. Slowly I started to remember who I was. Slowly I started to remember what my values were. I decided I wanted to wake up every morning with intention. I wanted to live out my values each and every day. And I wanted to live inside my body, and not in my mind.

But I didn’t know how.

How do I bring who I am and what I want to my life?

How do I remember who I am each and every day?

The answer was habits.

Little by little I began adding new habits into my life. I created a ‘nook’ in my room filled with things that I love where I could hear myself and be myself. Every morning I sat in my nook and journaled about how I wanted to feel for the day. That was my first new impactful habit. My second was changing into different ‘cozy’ clothes after I put the kids to bed. It was a way to transition to a new part of the day and a signal for my body and my nervous system to relax. A tiny but meaningful habit.

Next was strength training. After more than a decade I found a way to be consistent and even enjoy it. An important one for me as it fully embodies my value of health and makes me feel strong and grounded in my body and mind.

From running to meal prepping, to folding laundry and flossing, I slowly added more habits into my life that reflected my values and made me feel like myself. And slowly I began to see my life change. Suddenly my days were filled with meaning and purpose instead of anxious thoughts and decision fatigue. I was living out my values. A new identity was forming. I was becoming the person I wanted to be.

Maybe it’s my thoughtful mind. Or maybe it’s just human nature. But there are times where I can forget who I am and what’s important. So I fill my walls with pictures and quotes, my journal with thoughts and my days with intention and habits. Because I think that’s what life is all about - remembering.
