40 Thoughts on Purpose.

I have been fascinated with the topic of purpose for quite some time now. Partly because there is so much possibility in the topic of purpose, but partly because I found it confusing. And out of reach. I knew I should be spending time doing the things I felt passionate about. Doing the things that I love. But I didn’t know what those things were. And more frustrating was that I felt there were things that I loved to do, and specific ways I preferred to spend my time, but I couldn’t put into words what those things were. Or I couldn’t translate them into anything that made sense or that I could build off of. Anything that felt like my ‘purpose’. But I decided not to give up on it. I decided not to give up on myself. There was way too much possibility in purpose for that. Way too much possibility in life for that. So I embarked on a ‘purpose journey’ so to speak (as most of you know). Experimenting, trying new things, being open, following my curiosity and most importantly listening closely to myself. What I learned along the way was invaluable. And very surprising.

As I went along I made note after note in my journal, on my phone, anywhere I could write down my thoughts. Until I had so many thoughts, that I had to compile them somewhere. And I had to share them. Something that I have realized on this journey is that I have a lot of thoughts. And these thoughts need a place to go. So here are some of them. 40 Thoughts on Purpose (40 because this journey really began at 40). It’s 40 concise reflections about the topic of purpose. From what purpose really is, to helpful ways to find what you love, and who you really are. I really hope it’s helpful. You can find it here.

Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of me and this project. It took me longer than I thought to complete it, but I promised that I would. No matter how long it took. So for this, I am proud.

I know I haven’t been sharing as much on here in this way lately, but it comes in waves. And this week I felt like sharing.
