You’re already doing it.
You’re already doing it. What is it that you are doing every day? Maybe without noticing. What do you need to pull yourself away from? How are you spending your days? What would your perfect day look like? Often with purpose we look ahead of us instead of looking at what already exists. What’s already there. What is already happening. On the surface level it might not look like a lot is happening, but when you dig deeper and ask questions you start to peel back the layers of why you are doing what you are doing.
I could sit in my window nook for hours journaling. Writing down all the thoughts in my head. Writing down ideas for new businesses, books. Making lists. A lot of lists. Just sitting in possibility. I joined a lot of new communities. I was reaching out to people often, setting up walks. Daydreaming with people. Learning from people, podcasts, books. I didn’t know what I was doing, I was just doing it.
But now that my routine has changed and I am doing more writing and starting to take action on some ideas I have realized that I am still doing the same things. The same things I love. Just with a different vehicle.
Creating.
Connecting.
Being in community.
Being in possibility.
It wasn’t about the actions themselves, it was about who I was when I was doing them. Why I was doing them. What I was doing was just the vehicle for it. The real answers were underneath.
Think in verbs. Ask questions. Look back at your pattens. At how you are spending your time. Put together each piece of the puzzle one by one.
I bet you are already doing it too.
